Navika 5th Worlds Kannada Summit 2019 Business Forum is organized by National Indian American Chamber of Commerce (NIACC) and NAVIKA on August 30th, at Duke Energy Convention Center, Cincinnati, Ohio. NIACC is an umbrella organization that provides a sustainable platform and leadership forum for businesses in US and India, to Promote and foster Indian American economic development for the benefit of the United States of America and the Republic of India. NIACC has taken the leadership role through their advocacy programs in helping the policy makers develop policies of the governments at the local, state & federal levels in the United States. NIACC works with governments, businesses and professionals to develop entrepreneurship and commerce through mentor -protégé programs, training, seminars and networking opportunities. NIACC acts as a catalyst to establish strategic alliances between businesses in the United States and India and to strengthen business and economic engagements between the two countries. NIACC national assists regional/state chapters through connecting the states with national leadership and advocacy. Indian American Owned and other businesses in India and the United States can benefit from NIACC. In continuation of this effort, this year we plan to have a business summit in Cincinnati, Ohio. The purpose of this business summit is to provide a platform to discuss business opportunities of entrepreneurs. In addition to Key note address, there will be three panel discussions on business and franchising opportunities. An innovation challenge is also organized for entrepreneurs in collaboration with angel investors and venture capital community.

The White House announced President Trump’s 5G Initiative brings $275 Billion investments to deploy 5G Networks creating 3 Million New Jobs, adding $500 Billion to US economy. It’s important for U.S. be in front of the global race for 5G and will hasten the private sector deployment of broadband and put US ahead.
NIACC congratulates the President and FCC for pursuing the additional spectrum of technologically neutral funding for private sector initiatives in rural broadband through 5G infrastructure. This could amount to more than $75 Billion per year in rural business and more than $10 trillion worth of goods & services over the next 15 to 20 years.

The United States Signs a Stronger Trade Agreement with Mexico and Canada
United States joined Canada and Mexico in Argentina to sign a new trade agreement that will better serve the interests of American workers and businesses. This follows the President’s announcement in October that a deal had been reached.The new United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA) will replace the outdated, North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). With the signing of this agreement, President Trump has delivered on his promise to renegotiate NAFTA and protect American farmers, ranchers, businesses, and workers.

Counsel general of India in Atlanta for SE U.S. Region, The Honorable Dr. Swati Vijay Kulkarni and NIACC Chairman, KV Kumar were honored special guests of Mississippi State and both addressed the State Senate and met with the Governor, Lt. Governor, Secretary of State, President of the Senate, House Speaker and Speaker Protem, Agriculture and Commerce Commissioner and number of legislators, mayors, Chairman of Port Gipson board of county supervisors, numerous business and community leaders in Mississippi.
NIACC SE Regional Chapter was Inaugurated at the Consulate General of India, Atlanta, GA on November 25, 2018.
India’s Minister for State for External (Foreign) Affairs, The Honorable General V.K. Singh inaugurated the SE Regional Chapter of NIACC and delivered an inspirational and outstanding key note address. Dr. Kulkarni’s very impressive welcome speech and introduction of the honorable minister was very well received by the audience. Mr. Shailesh Lakhtakia, Cpunsel at the Consulate General, was the Master of Ceremony was very good and yet very concise in his remarks.

"Access to Success" program"
The NIACC Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of a new and exciting e-mentoring program. "Access to Success" will match students from around the country with industry specific mentors from corporate America and the NIACC network through its revamped web portal. By providing young Indians with role models, the Foundation hopes to build bright and successful futures for the country's Indian youth.
It is a mentoring program that offers students opportunities to shadow and gain practical experience from NIACC Foundation corporate and business partners. An online mentoring portion (E-mentoring) was recently designed to match students with professional adults in careers and industries compatible to student's interest. As mentors, professional adults offer support, career counseling and friendship advice to students
"Regional and National Youth Entrepreneurship 'BizFest' program"
Throughout the year the National Indian American Chamber of Commerce (NIACC) offers the Regional Youth Entrepreneurship “BizFest” in a number of cities across the United States. “BizFest” is a three and half-day intensive workshop series equipping Indian students, ages 17-25, with the tools to be successful in both business and life.
